First, there's the Wireless Access Point, which lets you connect both screaming fast Wireless-G and Wireless-B devices to the network. There's also a built-in 4- port full-duplex 10/100 Switch to connect your wired-Ethernet devices together. Connect four PCs directly, or attach more hubs and switches to create as big a network as you need.

I heard that you can hook up two WRT54G routers together and one can act like an access point. So i hooked it up. I made sure to turn off DHCP on the upstairs router.

This procedure bypasses the routing function (NAT layer) and configures the router as a switch (or wireless access point for wireless routers).
